Two FORVIA employees are gearing up to compete in the Monte-Carlo E-Rallye!
In just a few days, on October 18, the seventh Monte-Carlo E-Rallye will get underway. A road race for all-electric and all-hydrogen cars, this test of consistency follows in the footsteps of the legendary Monte-Carlo Rally: both events are organized by the Automobile Club of Monaco and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).
As the flagship event of the 2023 FIA ecoRally Championship Cup, the Monte-Carlo E-Rallye has become popular with automakers and engine tuners, who take part in the event to demonstrate the technological and pioneering potential of their vehicles in real-life conditions.
Étienne Sorlet, Faurecia Seating Marketing Director, and Piotr Moson, Seating Division Manufacturing Engineering Manager, will represent FORVIA, and especially its Seating Business Group, where they both work.
During the four-day competition, Étienne and Piotr will drive a BYD Han displaying the FORVIA logo. Equipped with seats assembled by Seating at its Shenzhen plant (China), including key components such as its frame, mechanisms and foam also manufactured by the Seating Business Group, the BYD Han represents the partnership established in 2017 between FORVIA Seating and the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD. The two companies’ joint venture produces 2.6 million seats per year, meaning that half of BYD’s vehicles are fitted with FORVIA seats.
